On 19th August 2026, Youth Dream Alliance (YDA) commemorated World Humanitarian Day at Village Misri Makrani, Taluka Jam Nawaz Ali, District Sanghar, under the theme “Humanity, Tribute, and Our Collective Responsibility.” The self-funded event brought together men, women, and children to reaffirm that every human being has the right to protection and dignity.
Introduction
Youth Dream Alliance (YDA) has built a network of trained social activists and volunteers across District Sanghar. During disasters, these young volunteers work alongside communities and partner organizations to ensure public safety, assist vulnerable families, and support relocation to secure areas. Through this program, YDA aimed to reinforce the spirit of humanitarian responsibility with a special focus on youth engagement — reminding everyone that no one should have to face tragedy alone.
Objectives
To promote shared humanitarian values and civic awareness among men, women, and children by observing World Humanitarian Day at the village and Union Council levels.
Event Highlights
The program began with addresses by community leaders and YDA volunteers. Mr. Ameer Bux addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the service of humanity gives meaning to our very existence — a bond that transcends race, religion, language, and geography. In times of disaster, conflict, and grief, it is empathy and solidarity that hold communities together.
He highlighted the challenges faced by Sindh in recent years, including devastating monsoon floods and extreme heatwaves. During such crises, local volunteers and humanitarian workers risk their lives to rescue people, provide food and medical aid, and restore hope for affected families. He stressed that humanitarian service goes beyond distributing aid — it means upholding human dignity, ensuring relief without discrimination, and preparing youth to respond effectively and reduce losses during emergencies.
Today we pay tribute to the martyrs and unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives upholding the flag of humanity, so that no one faces tragedy alone.
Key Resolutions & Rights Advocacy
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Ameer Bux called on the community to keep the spirit of humanitarianism alive in every village and town, and pledged to protect the rights of every man, woman, and child.
- Women’s Education & Empowerment: Harmful social customs that restrict girls’ education and development must end. Families should ensure higher education and skill-building opportunities for their daughters.
- Fair Wages for Female Workers: The economic exploitation of female agricultural workers was strongly condemned. The underpayment of women engaged in cotton picking in District Sanghar was identified as a major injustice that must be addressed.
Participants pledged to uphold fundamental human rights, oppose wage discrimination, and work collectively for social justice across the district.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants for their active presence and engagement. Attendees made a collective pledge to promote peace and brotherhood, support each other in times of need, resist violations of rights, and prioritize social justice in all community affairs.
